Jesse, strumming — the cable still unplugged from the amp — but the green guitar's pickups connecting wirelessly to the Amp Box through proximity, through the cerium-iron-boron alloy and the Amp Box's prototype-receiver, through the destination chord that the USB has just unlocked. Dev vaulting across the warehouse toward the Amp Box, sticks in hand. The Operative — for the first time in the issue — moving. Weapon raising. Mouth open mid-shout.
